PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Dear Friends,

It is needless to say that access to the world wide web brings immense benefit to all professionals and particularly to the Legal Profession. In almost every territory all the decided cases are now on the web. Current decisions from different Jurisdictions take time in reaching the Legal profession in Sri Lanka. Purchase of text books containing such decisions is costly.

Access to internet has substantial impact in the Development of   Law in Sri Lanka with the necessary contributions being made by the members of the Bar.  

It is in that back drop that the Colombo Law Society decided to make the facility of accessing the Internet available to the legal fraternity in Colombo at no cost particularly in point of view of the fact it is necessary to make it available to our junior members and make them work in an environment of Information Technology.

We take great pleasure in introducing this wireless Internet Environment to all the members of the Legal Profession with two desk Top Computers with the online facility.

We invite you to make use of it and obtain the maximum benefit out of it
