KEY OBJECTIVES OF CLS

To safeguard and protect the interests of the members of the society

To uphold the honor and independence of the Bar of Sri-Lanka

To promote and protect the rights and privileges of the Bar of Sri-Lanka

To promote good relations and understanding between the Bar and the public

To maintain all rules of professional conduct formulated by the Bar Association of Sri-Lanka

To enforce all rulings and decisions of the Bar Association of Sri-Lanka

To promote and protect Human Rights and civil liberties including the right of access to legal representation

To promote and support law reform

To help improve the administration of justice and judicial procedure

To support an efficient legal aid service for individuals as well as institutions

To support legal education and the study of the law
